Yes you’re 100% correct. We had at least 2 man press breaks


And 2 zone press breaks…and that was on a 1990 high school team.

Zone press break is imperative to get your 1st or 2nd best ball handler the ball in middle of court to beat the trap and then attack/put pressure on the back end of the zone press.

IMO vs Man pressure if you’re facing tough physical defensive guards, you change it up by having your best big man ball handler as a pressure release who can make the other big man have to either concede that he’ll just be able to come up the court easily OR draw him up court then attack because he’s no longer protecting the back end
We also need to screen away & free up a press release so Storm or Pedulla don’t have to spend 8-10 seconds just getting ball to front court
