I love that whole area. The McDonald Observatory in west Tejus is worth a


stop as well. I would be the janitor there and mop the floors if get let me live in one of those little cabins along the crest of that mountain! Kick back, cook a steak on the grill, drink a beer ( or three) and observe the world for a hundred miles in every direction. And at night see every star in the sky… would be amazing.
I’m going to also resurrect my backpacking career and hit Big Bend… it’s on the list!
