J.C. Price question re: being on the new staff


It seems like a repetitive line, "J.C. Price needs to be on the new staff". I don't follow the coaching staff close enough to know who is a quality position coach and who is not. But everyone keeps saying that he needs to be retained. Why him, and why not some of the others.

I am one who thinks that the new HC should simply find the best guys he can. If that's Price or any of the others, that's great. If not, and he brings in all new dudes, that's fine too.

So I ask you, other than loving his school and being 1-1 as an interim head coach, why does Price seem to be at the forefront of coaches who should return, but no one else is. Is he an exceptional position coach? Is he an elite recruiter? I don't know.
