My position is that the HC needs to be responsible for picking the staff

and hence their performance. And it needs to be that way from the start. He shouldn't be leaned on to keep this guy or get rid of that guy. In the end, the HC is accountable for all of it.

Back in the day with Stiney, so many people would rip him for the offense, but give Beamer a pass. I disagreed with this. Both are responsible for the offensive unit. That's also why I like when a HC candidate has coordinator experience. So if things go wrong, at least one of the two sides of the ball can be taken over (or at least more strongly supervised) by the big boss.

If Pry brings back the whole staff, or cuts them all loose. I don't care. I think it would be advisable to have some back, but that is totally his call.
