ATm has the CoC in common with Tech and I bet their campus is similar too

But have never been to visit. Those land grant universities located in small towns like Clemson, Auburn and Starkville make you feel like they dropped Tech’s campus in the middle of a hot humid southern town and they replaced the Hokie stone with bricks. I bet College Station is like Blacksburg in the flatlands of Texas with much hotter weather.

Of all of the land grants schools, I agree with Mercury that PSU is probably the most similar due to the massive campus size, the Appalachian mountains backdrop, the little town that is trying to become a city and the geographic remoteness.

Clemson is very close to Tech as well in terms of the feel I had. But the town of Clemson reminds me of Tech during the Vick era when Tech was blossoming from a little known university to a more recognizable name. That’s when Blacksburg started trying to get away from that small town identity. I think Blacksburg is more like a small city (ala Staunton or Winchester) now whereas they were like Bedford and Lexington when I was there in the late 80s.

Tons of cool college campuses to visit… sort of a weird hobby of mine. I like Oxford and Ole Miss even though they all seemed like party snobs. Davidson was nice…. but University of Richmond nice. And Tuscaloosa was clean but felt very fake to me. If you ever watched Shrek, Tuscaloosa and Bama remind me of Duloc ha ha. I was not impressed with FSU… a university crammed in the middle of a ugly city and smelled to be honest. LSU had a lot of character but Baton Rouge feels like the Newark NJ of the south. UF and UGa are very nice but gigantic schools. GT is a very nice campus and would rate them higher if not in the middle of a big city.

I could go on and on (which I think I just did😄).
