I don't know if Price would be an upgrade in recruiting. He might have some loyalty with former players and VA coaches that could be beneficial, but he's not a big name. If you view Price as a stop-gap to save money (with a bonus potential to get lucky), then I think it doesn't matter too much. The transfer portal makes it much easier to compensate for poor recruiting by a previous coach. A reset is easier now, so I think it's also easier to take chances.
