Thoughts on Mutts last night?


I think Mutts is one of VT's most versatile players and difficult to match up with. He's a huge key to the success of this team this season.

From last night, the good: he led the Hokies in rebounding with 12, and was second in assists with 3. (He leads the Hokies in assists this season.) He shot 50%. And -- unappreciated -- he had 4 steals, a game-high for both teams. Memphis, as good as they are defensively, only had 8 steals as a team. Mutts had half that.

The bad: he only took 6 shots, fewest among the starters, in 38 minutes. Aluma needed help, and while Mutts had a great floor game, he didn't really assert himself offensively.
