It could be an open secret. Do the people who oversee Whit know?


I'm not sure what kind of internal controls are in place at the Tech Athletic Department. Does Babcock make the hire himself or does he have to get approval from the President for each hire? Does Tech have a form that is filled out to show a conflict of interest? Sands is a busy guy who doesn't seem like the type to read the sports pages. I don't think he even cares about football. The article below shows that he cares more about non-rev sports but Tech football has been at the forefront of Tech athletics for the past twenty-five years.
