Babcock is a steward of the VT Athletic Dept so he cant just hire a buddy


If this Babcock's sole proprietorship, it would be fine to hire someone he liked. He's representing the university and it community while making this choice so the decision should involve more than just his personal relationship with the candidate. I think an exceptional offensive coordinator would make a good coach if he is really experienced. I personally think Jim Harbaugh is a crazy jerk so I wouldn't want anyone from his coaching tree.
