Is it me, or does the timing of the announcement just seem odd?

I wonder if they had this date penciled in for whatever reason a bit ago?

Unless they were waiting/hoping for another win and do it right after for some sort of positivity for Fuente as he left?

It just seems strange timing to me...with 2 games to go, and a still possible bowl game....
