The seeding in the playoffs and the bowls should be by conference standings. First place in each conference standing is the Champion, and the bowls that are non-NY6 already have the conference tie ins by standings. They cannot go more than 1 game difference in selecting their teams.

This could be further refined, and the dismantling of the committee should take place. Then it would be results on the field. Plus there is no reason to have a weekly announcement of this Committee Poll other than to have ESPN talk about it for an hour each week. Wait until the end of December to look at the standings and seed the playoffs and bowls. NFL doesn't have a committee.
