Honest question:

What is stopping whit from "firing" Fuente now, but keeping him on payroll until the buyout drops?
Could that be a loophole that he exploits?
That could come in a few different forms ranging from completely removing him from the team while continuing to pay him his salary down to a simple announcement that he is/will be fired on December 15 while allowing him to finish digging a hole.
