Not sure that explains it. Unless they are being irresponsible with their


research. The person buying the Alan11's used car is for some reason selecting the not-new, less of a toy. It almost seems like they are being foolish in a pursuit of responsibility, i.e following the common wisdom that a used car IS responsible that doesn't currently seem to apply.

I'm not saying you are wrong (though I think it's more complicated than you are irresponsible if you buy in a hot market with low interest rates), just not sure it applies to what Alan is seeing.
