But he basically said, alumni and donors and folks that truly care about the program supply the money and we determine what the program looks like.....and i get that

But how do you convince...for example, someone like me with 5 kids in school...decent job, but not living in a McMansion, that I should shell out a Buck or two to dwindle into the nether without any tangible results? I think we need MAJOR investment from tech companies that partner in our areas of AI and Robotics and shill off some of that money to athletics

Higher profile Sports Teams DOES draw Higher talent in the ACADEMIC domain ....it's the cult of personality...
