Lot 1 Parking Passes Were Indeed an Error

As many here speculated, parking passes for lot 1 were sent erroneously. Just got the following email:

Men's Basketball Parking Update

Late Friday afternoon, October 29, we became aware of a printing issue for our 2021-22 Virginia Tech men’s basketball parking passes. All men's basketball parking passes for this season were printed in Lot 1 regardless of the parking location contained in the data files. This resulted in approximately 800 customers receiving a Lot 1 pass that should have been assigned to either Lot 4 or Lot 8. We are working with our printer to turn around an accurate second printing as quickly as possible.

It’s important to note that this error by our printer will require that all men’s basketball parking passes, except for our VIP tables, be reprinted and reshipped. As a result, the maroon parking passes you received for Lot 1 will not be valid for the 2021-22 men’s basketball season regardless of whether or not you are qualified for Lot 1. A second shipment containing your new parking passes will arrive this week. We anticipate these new passes will arrive no later than Friday, November 5. If for some reason you do not receive your new shipment by that date, please call the ticket office at 540-231-6731 on Monday, November 8, and we will make arrangements for you to pick up a parking pass for Game 1 at will call.

We apologize for this unfortunate occurrence and are working to ensure delivery of correct parking passes as quickly as possible. If there are additional issues prior to the season opener on Tuesday, November 9, we will notify you as soon as we are aware. We thank you for your patience as we work to resolve this issue.

Thanks, and Go Hokies!
