The average Joes on the set didn't pull the trigger.
They (average Joes on set) may indeed have some culpability due to the nature of the way guns are used/handled on a set. It is that very nature (actually pointing a gun at someone that you don't intend to harm) that also requires that gun regulations, including every single person checking a gun when it is handed to them, be followed even more stringently and why those that don't should also be liable.
