That is a really interesting point.


One Counterpoint. If VT pulls their collective crap together (long shot to say the least) and wins the next 3 games....which end in hopefully a beat down of Duke at home, they would have alot of momentum going into final two games.

Miami >> 4 loss team that plays FSU rival that is on a roll recently, the week before we play them.
If we somehow win in miami, then we are 7-4 with just UVA, one of the hot teams in ACC.

Now, if somehow we win this game, that would be 8-5 with commonwealth cup and lots of momentum going into half way decent bowl game.

IF all this happens, because a high power has shined down on our Hokies, then Fuente will have to make some changes with assistances and will get his extension.
No doubt about that. (I'm not saying he would deserve it, just that it would happen.)

If we fall short of that mark, then all bets are off and we wait to hear how Whit wants to proceed.
