The back road into/out of the GSD NP is a ton of fun


It's Medano Pass and the road is one of the best off roading adventures for water crossings. We usually go the first or second weekend in June when the water is low enough to cross (like 17 crossings?) with and when you get into the park, there is water along the dunes to play in.

There's a bunch of camp spots along the road as well.
