She is trolling by saying undefeated Cincy would not make the playoff

They are #5 in the country, just beat a top 10 team on the road, beat another P5 school on the road, and they would be a conference champion.

It's a very different setup than UCF in 2017. The highest rank they had after the regular season was #12 and their schedule was very soft. They only played one P5 school, a bad Maryland team.

If Cincinnati were left out this year, they might have reason to take legal action if it means they don't receive revenue associated with the playoff. Pure speculation on my part, but it would not surprise me since they are the closest anyone has ever gotten to the G5 making the top level.
