Pretty unlikely they would've gone far without him running since back half of schedule had Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Pitt, and Clemson as close games or losses

On the other hand, the staff might have shared the same assessment as the pros on his draft prospects that year and down the road. He wasn't in a strong position to bargain.
