One of my reps lived a few doors down from the guy who ran over Gotti's son

which was a complete accident and if not mistaken was Gotti's son's fault. Nonetheless, the neighbor disappeared a few days later and was never seen again. The really sad part was everyone in the neighborhood fully expected it.

Our rep's father used to own his own shop and the mafia would smash his face into the counter if he didn't pay enough. The local cops also had an odd set of rules governing them where they couldn't be seen anywhere near a mafia member. If a mafia guy walked into a restaurant or to a kid's soccer game, the cop had to leave.

One last trivia point is my neighbor was an FBI agent who monitored the crime family that is considered the inspiration for the sopranos. He said it was terribly boring. He spent most of his time listening to people eat breakfast, drink coffee, etc.
