Although the fanbase and it’s sentiment should absolutely matter. That’s called customer service. And nope, don’t need to donate millions for it to matter. Bet you don’t spend much in the grand scheme for your cable, cell, airfare, hotel, car, restaurants, whatever else you do. Pennies compared to what those places rank in. But I damn sure bet you expect your voice as ANY customer to matter and to be taken into account. Otherwise, you will very likely go elsewhere. Just as you should if you aren’t valued. And to be valued you don’t have to accept and rave about everything. That’s actually even less valuable than the needed criticism. That’s where real progress is made.

Have worked with a strong and highly successful global executive who often reminded, dont ever tell me everything is fine with my company. I know my company, the industry, and business in general, it’s never ‘fine’! You tell me everything’s fine and THATS when I get concerned. Let’s get the challenges and conflicts to the surface fast, clearly, and work to address them. Sound advice.

Another great mentor in faith always says: FINE = Fouled up, Insecure, Neurotic, and emotional. LOL

And we will agree to disagree on attitude. We are on different ends of the spectrum there. I’m very blessed and very happy. Sure you feel the same about yourself (hopefully). You don’t know me from a hole in the wall, presuming I or anyone else is one way or another because of some sports message board posts is laughable.

Happy, but not satisfied. That’s not just this guy, that’s the overarching mantra of any success. That’s largely how ‘better’ is achieved and driven towards. In all things. And sure hope this team feels the same. And I bet they do, even this shaky staff :)
