I’m not sure why people say “we deserve better” as if we are owed something by the football team, players, coaches. We are entitled to share as many thoughts as we want but we aren’t entitled to something in the field.

To liken how people approach life, business, family and not settling and always striving to be better (where we actually have direct influence on that) to how we should approach football as fans (where we don’t) is nonsensical. In my life and business, losing impacts me and my family directly, could be financially, could be about my kids mindset as they grow up. Losing a football game or having a team that isn’t as good as I would like, has no impact on me personally. It’s unfortunate it does for some (in the obvious stress it causes). But when my 11 and 14 year old kids are pissed about the loss, like I was, and we stew over it for a bit, but are then mature enough to move on….I’m ok with that.
