I did not believe that this team would compete against UNC, or at least compete well. I stated that Howell would pick us apart and that we lacked talent to compete. I acknowledge that I my "predictions" were wrong.

I was excited to see our defense FLYING around, hitting people, bringing people down on the first tackle. I was excited to see the offense until the last drive of the first half, when it started to struggle.

I give Fuente A TON of credit for game planning and winning the game. I agree with others that it should have and could have been 31-10. Fuente has clearly shown that, with time, he can plan to win and create an executable plan.

Special teams did its job (minus the field goal). There are a number of concerns about the offense, which I expected, but BB3 did well and looked a lot faster this year than last year.

I believe that we caught UNC at the right time and played a great game. I think that our defense can be REALLY good if the players stay healthy. Kudos to JHAM for bringing back toughness and grit and speed.

I'm enjoying this, and I hope it stays. I hope that fuente can parlay this win into some recruiting wins as well.

For the moment, his hot seat has cooled, which is great for him and our program. I Hope that he can continue to create momentum and traction and win games. WVU is right around the corner and I have more hope than I did, that's for sure. Kudos to the PATT posters for seeing what I didn't.
