I have my suspicions; some is legit, some is profit taking IMO

We stayed in a beach hotel condo in late July. They had not been offering room service for at least 10 months, as a "COVID safety measure." But in July, cases and transmission rates were low, and we had rented a "villa" so we had a big space and we weren't in it if they had cleaned.

Now, *might* room cleaners have left COVID? I suppose. But if the hotel has decent testing and contact tracing in place, and we are in a big space with none of us there, no reason why the hotel couldn't come in and make beds, change towels as needed, etc. But they didn't, and I suspect they didn't because the hotel saved $$$. We spent 6 days there and no one else ever came into our room. Once we asked for new towels and they dropped off a bag.
