There are lots of interesting subplots between the teams
That will decide the outcome of the game. One, it helps the Hokies they get this game first at home. The Heels are top ten and the Hokies are I ranked
Howell obviously is the star, and he’ll be protected by a good heel OL. It will be interesting to see how an improved tech DL does. Will they get any pressure on Howell and will they stop the UNC rushing attack.
The loss of UNC’s two star RBs and tech losing Khalil Herbert raises an interesting question whom will rush the ball better. I think the Hokies look good at RB. It will be interesting to see how effective the heel rushing game is
It will be highlighted however by opposite strategies where the Hokies rush the ball to open passing lanes, while Howell will attack the tech secondary and linebackers through the air to open rushing lanes. How the tech defense does against that dual threat attack will be key.
The game burmeister brings will also be key. The Hokies will run the ball, but how well do they offset the runs by moving the chains through the air. UNC is Uber talented at DB and they’re coached by former Western branch and UNC star Dre Bly. His pupils are 757 blue chip kids. They’re all destined for NFL stardom. But they’re young. Can a veteran tech QB challenge and beat they’re youth and inexperience?
It’ll be a great game. I see the winner winning by under three points. Question will be who comes to play. Go Hokies
