Land grant university's model are changing and VT is evolving


Frankly traditionell agriculture mission focus schools are not growing. The R&D money that are ESSENTIAL to all preeminent national universities. Notice how VT has grown since the VET School, Medical School and now the Innovation Campus all have focused additional resources to the university. The Land Grant mission can continue and grow but different

Also, education is different now. VT philosophy of education are not stove pipe training, but collaborative learning environment, where students education is blended between diverse areas of expertise. You can blend business and agriculture and architecture and urban planning in an group learning environment . These skill sets enable our outreach to both rural and urban communities the unique skill sets to help solve today's and tomorrows opportunities.
