That goes back to my days as a VT student. I got my first credit card then, and it was a huge mistake. I charged way too much stuff the first month, so I put that card away until after I had regular employment. Even to this day, I still prefer to use cash for inexpensive transactions such as restaurants and fast food, bar tabs, etc.

Apple Pay is secure, and it isn't complicated, it just risks excessive spending...lol

But I agree things seems too complicated for some people. I see that almost every time I'm in the gas line at Costco, and it takes some people 10X longer to understand they need to insert their Costco card, then a credit card...lol It isn't limited to just the elderly. That crosses all age boundaries.
