I'd almost make the same argument about jazz styling...


something more sophisticated than pop but will bring you less fame and fortune. Think about Judith Durham who was another who had one of those fantastic "generational" voices, for her, she got both, singing some (nice) pop ditties but her real love was jazz which she indulged in. Perfect world I suppose, make a few bucks that allows you to do what you really want to do.
