A few random thoughts


1 - I was all set to buy a Bosch based on Lounge wisdom the last time I went to buy a dishwasher. But the more I looked at them, the more I absolutely hated the interior layout of every Bosch. Maybe you get used to it, or maybe Bosch owners don't know any better, but the Whirlpool/Maytag interior layout is soooo much better.

2 - I kinda ducked-up one dishwasher purchase because the dishwasher is right in a corner. A drawer that opens 90 deg to the dishwasher ended up hitting the handle on the dishwasher. Whoops. After a couple years of putting up with it, I knew someone who needed a dishwasher so I sold them mine and got a new one with a recessed handle.

3 - Re. dishwasher noise...if you are shopping for anything above a bare-bones contractor model, they are all pretty darned quiet. The one I got was probably the least-quiet in that model line and I can barely hear it. Paying extra for something quieter would have been a waste of money.
