Maybe somewhat of an over exaggeration but I think people are looking at the pending SEC deal as sports rights explosion and kind of brushing off the fact the ESPN was no longer going to pay for those 8 Big12 schools to get OU/Texas. So what appetite will ESPN have to pay for 14 ACC schools with a lot of dregs? That is what the AACs of the world with cheap contracts are for.
