Yep. I foresee 6 or 8 current Big12 and Pac12 schools in trouble.

What might save their bacon is some schools might really truly say NO to being a part of what can only be described as professional athletics. That is driving a bunch of this. For as much money as there is on the table, there is going to be some true blue revenue sharing with the athletes. The courts have been ruling in favor of the players nearly everytime recently, including the US Supreme Court. It just might not be worth it for Vandy or Wake to even try to keep up. They can just drop to a G5 level of competition and I don't think it will impact their schools much at all. Stanford might stick it's nose up at this thing. They don't really need it. Notre Dame COULD say no too. As I've posted, they better enjoy that Navy game each year if they do because it's going to be the highlight of their season if they try to remain independent. The thing is going to require lots of collaboration and I don't feel ANYBODY in the room is going to allow ND to get on board as an independent. It's the perfect time to force their hand.

But anyhow, if some schools say no, it might open the door for some of the schools that really really want to be involved. Could help Baylor, Oregon State, or Utah to get a seat at the table.
