Oh yeah, I95 isn't there by accident, basically the dividing line between..


that "sandy/loaming" soil to the east and the beginning of the hilly piedmont to the west. That whole tobacco thing has changed though, you used to get gov't support but you were only allotted only so much, my granddad and inherited by my dad had a hundred acre allotment, if you grew too much, well, you could save it til next year. The gov't ended the allotment program buying those allotments out. My dad got his last check - for doing nothing - just a few years ago.

Now? grow all you want, gov't doesn't care, just not going into price supports anymore. but all that tobacco is now grown on contract, no tobacco auctions anymore. Anyway, just thought I'd get my spiel off. Haven't been down in a few years since my dad is getting older.
