You have to have talent, not just coaching and reps

You can't put me on the field, give me 1000 reps, and say that I'll be better. I'll be better than if I hadn't had 1000 reps, but I'm still not going to compete against real football players.

Just because we had a spring practice doesn't mean that we have the talent to compete against good teams. I don't see that talent. In fact, if you use recruiting rankings, I don't even see the potential for top P5 talent to develop.

It is hard to say but right now, I don't see how our defense can stop legitimately good P5 players. I hope it is better - there isn't much room to be worse - but I'm not convinced.
