Losses to UNC, WV, ND, Miami "for sure." Two other losses between the rest of the ACC games, with a potential for one bad loss, which would be 7 losses.

This is a team without much P5 talent, a very below-average QB (unless he dramatically improves), no real skill players with game-breaking talent, etc. Our defense also lacks talent. Some may argue that the defense has potential but potential does not equal talent, and they are inexperienced.

Bottom line: we don't have the jimmys or joes to beat many P5 teams and that will show. That's why I believed last December that not firing Fuente was a mistake because all we did was lose another twelve months. Somehow, we would need every single diamond in the rough that we have recruited over the last 4 years to play 110% above their punching and weight class, which is unheard of.

But at least it doesn't matter because Whit told us all that it was "year 1," right?
