It was like $80 or something (~ 1970?) which was pretty expensive. The bike had a "stick shift" more like a manual shift you can see in the top tube. five gears I *think*

It's funny because I was 15 or 16 or something and I knew I'd be getting a "racing bike" in a couple of years. but it was one of those thing, I was in love with it and went to look at it regularly in the store, forget, birthday present or something and yeah, it was fun/dangerous (synonymous) easy to pull a wheelie and stay on it but also all your weigh was on the back, also now cross bar in the handles.

Anyway, loved it, other kids wante to try it out. rode it to the swim club regularly life was good (sigh) So yeah, forget what happened but probably bought a "10 speed" grown up bike etc. A freind of mine's younger brother wanted it and the mom came over and offered me $30 and I acccepted, (kid's are fickle w/there loves)

So years later a friend of mine was in the navy and was driving cross country in his jeep asked me if I wanted to come along (whole nother story here) I said yes. Met up with his uncle in Vancouver BC. I think the younger brother was there, said, hey I want to show you something..

Yep, the bike had gotten farther in the world than I had.
