FWIW 2nd degree is not cold blooded


Second degree murder, if anything, is hot blooded. It's the proverbial crime of passion. The guy who comes home from work early, finds his wife in bed with his neighbor, loses his mind, and shoots them both. The murder itself is intentional, but not premeditated. The intent was formed only at the moment the crime was committed.
