Theyre gonna get worse before they get better...


Duke will obviously still have the money rolling in to keep the facilities nice. They will still be able to recruit off of their name.

Do players want to go play for Jon Scheyer?

Will he change the philosophy on recruiting one-and-dones? Will have have any choice in doing so?

If Duke isnt going to go after a "name" established coach, then they need someone with a plan to change Duke and their "vision" for a path forward. Im not sure Scheyer is that, but Im also not sure he isnt. He's never developed a vision for a program however, and hes only played and coached under 1 guy. It uh...doesnt look good.

I dont think Scheyer will be their only coach over the next 6 years.
