But the backing of a government is what makes the currencies stable...


in crypto, the stability is in the confidence of the system(blockchain?).... so, when people see whales manipulating the system for their own needs, how does that create confidence? (not that the FED or anyone manipulates at their need, too... different thread altogether.) Perhaps it is just too early in crypto to have any confidence and stability.... But basically, at this point it seems like the "people" are beholden to the "whales" to keep the market stable.
