Scam phone call or legit? (inside)

Got a phone call yesterday. I almost never answer the phone. It went to voice mail with this
"... this message is for mrs ffx .....My name is Mike I'm calling from (well known financial institution) after an annual account review we would like to verify some personal information that is either missing or invalid. Please call us back at ______"

What was correct - I do have an account with said financial institution, mrs ffx is a joint owner and the call back phone number was the legit phone number for this financial institution.

But what screams scam is the language "...verify personal info that is missing or invalid.." - really? And I logged in to my account and everything looks correct to me and no internal messages with any alerts.

Thoughts?
