Except if the school is falling behind when the coach is still winning at a level the school shouldn't be at, then it is not a permanent elevation. IMHO especially towards the end of the 10 win run, that is where VT was.

Secondly, permanent elevation really is more of a function of being anointed of being worthy to carry the marketing than earning an upward level in elevation. As I have commented in the past, I have, in my lifetime seen only 2 "permanent" elevations, FSU who earned it and Oregon whom Nike bought it for them.
