But the general point is why can't 'leadership' provide a metric to get us out of this? It is pure insanity - why NOT give citizens something tangible to work towards? If they said 'once 65% of Americans are fully vaccinated we can remove masks and lift gathering restrictions' then I guarantee you demand for the vaccines would spike. Right now there is ZERO tangible benefit to getting vaccinated. You get vaccinated and nothing changes in your day-to-day life. It makes common sense ... which is exactly why they aren't doing it.
