Even if that is the goal, what "good" will it accomplish in the grand
scheme of things? Virginia's "value" as a state may be on the decline compared to prior decades. If Virginia continues to decline, then winning the state may not be enough for VT to even tread water within the Coastal Division.
I get where you are coming from and I am not opposed to setting that goal. I am just wondering if the goal should be set higher with the assumption/understanding that if VT achieves the higher goal it should mean that VT is the dominant program within the state (assuming VA still has "value"). Also, it is possible that if VT wants to achieve higher goals, then it may need to do that without depending on VA recruits. The recruiting game has changed dramatically in recent years. Does dominating VA still fit with how the recruiting process works in the 2020s or the 1990s?
