I knew he could coach ... because Coach K and Coach Williams both said he

was a grade 'A' basketball coach. My question was whether a 57 year-old 'country boy' could recruit 18 year-olds and his results so far have been very good, though he has put an emphasis on portal which is ok. My guess is that he thinks he can raise the profile of VT basketball using transfers to an extent and that will help the recruiting end of things. Bamisile was a very good recruit - unfortunately that didn't work out. N'Guessan looks like a player. Ojiako and Maddox still have potential and will get opportunities and I think Sean Pedulla can be very similar to Storm and Hunter at PG. With the remaining scholarships, I'm not entirely sure we shouldn't go the transfer route unless we find a hidden gem somewhere in prep world. We should go 'all in' on next season IMHO to help us with future classes.
