Ski levels at Breckenridge appeal to everyone. The times I've been, it seems like there's a ton of families and family-centric things to do.
If you're renting equipment (especially if you'll have a car) compare the prices of "off-property" rentals to the ones where they're right in the village area. I think I used Christy Sports before and you can find coupons to save.
Buy lift tickets / passes in advance to save additional money. With your group, they'd probably like "ski 3 of 5 days" or something. Get some shopping or just relaxing on the non-ski days.
Depending on child care, get as many of the adults as possible into the same group lesson.
If you're so inclined, there are a number of other resorts pretty close to Breckenridge. I think most use a single lift pass, so you can use at a few of the places.
It will be a great trip - hopefully you'll have good snow.
