Need advise for Colorado ski resorts....

I have been tasked with organizing a family ski trip to Colorado for next Christmas. There will be six adults and two small boys. Only one of the adults has skied before & he has his own equipment. Everyone else will need to rent and get some lessons. People will be flying in from Seattle and Atlanta and driving from Kansas. Where is the best place to go?
