Learned a new buzzword for baseball and advanced stats today: PECOTA


Asked a young Hokie - Stephen Newman - to tell me "who's on first" and what the realistic chances were tor the Washington Nationals, and he superbly captured everything I need to know. And for my fellow old-timers, PECOTA stands for "Player Empirical Comparison and Optimization Test Algorithm"
