hoops is the classic pyramid. a select few top programs and then a sizeable gap from there and the gap rapidly widens as you head south. we'll never achieve royalty status unless we spring big bucks for a big-name coach and that will never happen, as we all know. i like kenny, but we need to keep our expectations tempered. if we can be a regular visitor to the tournament and win a game or possibly two, that would be great. vt has never invested heavily in women's basketball and that's just not going to change.
