from watching "The Mummy" (1932 version) with Boris Karloff when I was a kid. This was back in the early '60s and I stayed up late one Saturday night (11:30 pm) to watch "Chiller Theater" (channel 13-Huntington WV) by myself as my parents and siblings had gone to bed. Though we had only black&white TVs back then it didn't matter because the movie was in black&white. After the movie finished I went to bed (about 2 am?) scared to death though my parent's bedroom was directly across the hallway from mine. So I get a pillow&cover from my bed and quietly sneak into my parent's bedroom to sleep on the floor at the foot of their bed. I slept safe & sound until my mother tripped over me just before dawn. I had some 'xplaining to do.
