a lot of cotton is grown near here. Drive the rural routes in Suffolk, IoW, Surry, etc and you will see fairly large fields that were never harvested in the fall. I assume the market for the raw cotton is down because the processing mills are running short staffed like the food producers (unreal that meat prices are up and supplies are short while farmers are having to destroy perfectly healthy stock because the producers can't process them).
